The International Fischer Symposium (IFS) is a conference gathering 100 to 120 attendees in a friendly atmosphere every 3 years. Since its early editions in Karlsruhe, under the auspices of Prof. W. Lorenz, the IFS has traditionally been the place where the relations between electrochemistry and other fields of science are discussed and interdisciplinary approaches are developed. We hope to gather experimentalists and theoreticians, who are working on or are interested in the field of electrochemistry at the nanometer scale, including but not limited to:
- Structure and dynamic of electrochemical interfaces
- Catalysis, Electrochemical energy conversion and storage
- Electrodeposition
- Corrosion, passivity, and oxide films
- Bioelectrochemistry and functionalized electrodes
- Operando techniques in nanoscale electrochemistry
- Studies of single molecules and nanoscale objects
- Other topics related to nanoscale electrochemistry
The four-day conference features invited talks of 40 min., given by leaders in their fields, contributed talks (20 min. incl. discussion), and poster presentations.
