The grant, worth up to €850,000, will support Baeumer in developing his own line of research over the next five years. His project, Materials with a Twist for More Efficient Sustainable Hydrogen Production, addresses one of the key challenges in the transition to sustainable energy: making green hydrogen production more efficient and affordable.
Baeumer conducts fundamental research into materials that can control how electrons move during chemical reactions and whether this can lead to more efficient hydrogen production. In the long term, the research could contribute to better catalysts for green hydrogen production, as well as more sustainable energy generation and industrial processes.

ANION congratulates Chris on this achievement and looks forward to following the development of his research.
