ANION-003: Nanoscale in-situ TEM electrochemistry of batteries and fuel cells
Research activities
As part of ANION I will focus on in-situ Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) of battery materials and electrocatalysts, aiming to elucidate degradation mechanisms at the nanoscale, and develop a more advanced understanding of the electrode-electrolyte interface. I will work heavily with the electron microscopy center here, at Utrecht University, using in-situ liquid cell chips to observe electrochemical reactions in the TEM. I will also work to replicate results outside of the microscope and ensure electron beam effects are mitigated.
